About Mike

Mike began his career in Los Angeles as a Typographer and Graphic Designer.

For ten years he owned and operated Adler-Wayne Typography, providing design services to the movie/entertainment and other industries.

Mike’s passion for photography began by photographing in black and white and processing the film in his home darkroom. He transitioned to the digital format in 2009. In 1994, Mike moved to the Washington DC area with his wife Astrid, where both worked as Senior Technical Writers.

The Smithsonian Magazine selected Carousel for the cover of its November 2010 online magazine. In October 2014, BetterPhoto.com awarded Mike 2nd Place for Pillars and Editors’ Pick for White Rose 1, Yellow Rose 1, and Cornstalk Panorama.

Numerous additional images have been selected by stock photo companies for inclusion as online offerings.
